FUJIFILM X10
The Fujifilm X10 is a compact enthusiast camera that has developed almost a cultish following since it was released in September 2011. I purchased the camera in 2011 shortly after its release. Since then it has travelled with me to New York City, Boston, New Orleans as well as on many weekend adventures and, of course, regularly in the garden. Here is a selection of images taken with the Fujifilm X10.
Tulip leaf among the ferns converted to a warm B&W image.
Orchid spray. 1/160 sec at f2.8 at ISO 320 at 23.7mm, hand held.
Model at flower show. Notice how the colours really pop in this natural light scene. Setting Velvia. Jpg image shot at 1/90th sec, f2.5, ISO 800, 19.5mm, hand held.
Model at flower show. Jpg image shot at 1/110th sec, f2.8, ISO 800, 23.7mm, hand held.
The fujifilm X10 captured these extreme reds and oranges in this image beautifully. Jpeg shot at ISO 200, 1/140 sec, f2.5 at 18 mm
This is a fun image using the extraction filter on the Fujifilm X10. Obviously the red extraction filter came in handy here creating a B&W image leaving only red showing in the image. Jpeg, 1/200 sec, f2.2, ISO 200.
Jpeg shot at ISO 200, 1/210 sec, f2.2 at 7.9mm.
ISO 500, 1/180 sec, f2.5.
This is an example of how the Fujifilm image stands up to an extreme crop and still holds sufficient detail. ISO 800, 1/120th sec. f2.8 at 22.8mm.
